The US-Balkans Business Summit was the first trade and investment summit among the United States and the countries of the Western Balkans (invited: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia) ever to be held in the United States.  Held at the University of Baltimore, March 23-24, 2011, over 400 attendees interacted face-to-face with senior public officials and private business leaders interested in doing business in the Western Balkans.

The US-Balkans Business Summit successfully assisted in developing bilateral trade and investment between the Western Balkans and the United States, and focused on a cross-section of industries with growth potential in the that region.  In particular, the energy, defense, information technology, manufacturing, tourism and transportation industries were highlighted at the summit.
